San Antonio Hosts Nationwide NCAA Tournament Teams
San Antonio, Texas – The City of San Antonio announced the list of teams scheduled to visit the city. Several groups are making the trip, including teams such as Auburn, Louisville, Creighton, Michigan, UC San Diego, Texas A&M, Yale, Ole Miss, Iowa State, Lipscomb, Marquette, New Mexico, Michigan State, Bryant, Florida, Norfolk State, UConn, Oklahoma, Memphis, Colorado State, Maryland, Grand Canyon, Missouri, Drake, Texas Tech, UNCW, Kansas, Arkansas, St. John’s, and Omaha.
In addition, the announcement included the teams participating in the First Four round: Alabama State (16), Saint Francis (16), San Diego State (11), North Carolina (11), American (16), Mount St. Mary’s (16), Texas (11) and Xavier (11).
The report also listed teams involved in the NCAA Final Four, including San Antonio as host. Other programs mentioned in this section were Duke (1), Mississippi State (8), Baylor (5), Oregon (5), Liberty (12), Arizona (4), Akron (13), BYU (6), VCU (11), Wisconsin (14), Montana (14), Saint Mary’s (11), Vanderbilt (10), Alabama (7), and Robert Morris (15).
Local officials noted the wide range of schools from across the country making the trip to San Antonio. Officials confirmed that schedules and additional details would be shared as events progress.
