Denver Police Department is hosting a free, one-day Teen Academy on Saturday, June 7, 2025, from 8:45 AM to 4:00 PM at the Denver Police Academy, located at 2155 N. Akron Way. The event is open to teenagers who are between 13 and 19 years old as of June 1, 2025. Registration is required by June 5, and space is limited.

Participants will engage in interactive sessions that include demonstrations and hands-on experiences with police work. Activities will cover topics such as K-9s and drones, AirOne Helicopter, SWAT and bomb unit gear, crime scene investigation, self-defense, and first aid. The academy provides opportunities for teens to explore the department’s operations and gain insights into various unit functions, including Bomb Unit, Crime Lab, DUI BAT Van, and more.

The event also includes a graduation ceremony, where parents are welcome to attend. Free lunch, snacks, swag, and additional resources will be provided during the day. Interested teens can apply online at the Denver government website by June 5.
