Free Teen Activities at Patterson Park Community Center
Connect at the Rec is scheduled to take place on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Patterson Park Community Center, located at 800 Patterson Ave. in Akron, Ohio. The event offers free recreational activities for teens in grades 6-12, including music, an open gym, arts and crafts, food, giveaways, games, and talks by community speakers.
Doors will lock at 2:00 PM, and there will be no re-entry. Teens must be registered with a free Teen Membership through Akron.RecDesk.com before attending. The registration process can be completed online at the provided link.
Two additional Connect at the Rec events are planned: one on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Joy Park Community Center, and the other on Friday, April 3, 2026, at Ed Davis Community Center.
