Akron Hosts Free Teen Connect Event
The City of Akron is hosting a free event for teens in grades 6-12 called Connect at the Rec on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. The event will take place at Patterson Park Community Center, located at 800 Patterson Ave., Akron, OH 44310. Activities will include music, an open gym, arts and crafts, food, giveaways, games, and community speakers.
Registration is required through a free Teen Membership on Akron.RecDesk.com. Participants must sign up in advance using the provided registration link before attending the event. Doors will close at 2:00 PM with no re-entry allowed.
Additional Connect at the Rec events are scheduled for Friday, February 13, 2026, at Joy Park Community Center, and Friday, April 3, 2026, at Ed Davis Community Center.
