23-year-old MCSO Mounted Unit horse Jack retires after 13 years

Maricopa County, Ariz. — Jack, a 23-year-old buckskin Quarter Horse who served 13 years with the MCSO Mounted Unit, assisted in search and rescue missions, crowd control, parades and river patrols, and will retire due to medical needs to live in a pasture near Sgt. Matthew Fox who will care for him.
